Watch our video guide to Week 32 of your pregnancy journey:
What's Happening in Week 32?
Your baby is now about the size of a squash! Toenails have arrived, and fingernails have reached the fingertips. Your baby is practicing breathing by inhaling amniotic fluid, which helps the lungs mature.
The skeleton is fully formed but still soft and pliable. Your baby is likely in the head-down position by now, preparing for birth. Fat continues to accumulate, making baby less wrinkly.
Tips for Week 32
- You may feel shortness of breath as baby takes up more space
- Braxton Hicks contractions may become more noticeable
- Pack your hospital bag if you haven't already
- Consider cord blood banking options
