What's Happening in Week 23?
Your baby is now about the size of a large mango! Their hearing is well developed - they can hear your voice, your heartbeat, and sounds from the outside world. Studies show babies recognize their mother's voice from birth.
The skin is still wrinkled because your baby hasn't put on enough fat yet to fill it out. The lungs are developing rapidly, preparing for breathing.
Tips for Week 23
- Read and talk to your baby regularly
- Your partner can bond by talking to your bump too
- You may experience increased appetite
- Stay active but avoid lying flat on your back
