Watch our video guide to Week 22 of your pregnancy journey:
What's Happening in Week 22?
Your baby is now about the size of a papaya! They look like a miniature newborn, though still quite thin. The eyes have formed but the irises (the colored part) still lack pigment. Lips, eyelids, and eyebrows are becoming more distinct.
The pancreas is developing steadily, and the baby is putting on weight. Inside the gums, tooth buds for permanent teeth are forming behind the baby teeth buds.
