Watch our video guide to Week 19 of your pregnancy journey:
What's Happening in Week 19?
Your baby is now about the size of a mango! A waxy, cheese-like coating called vernix caseosa is forming on the skin. This protects the delicate skin from the amniotic fluid and will help during delivery.
The brain is designating specialized areas for smell, taste, hearing, vision, and touch. Your baby's movements are becoming more coordinated and purposeful.
Tips for Week 19
- You're almost halfway through your pregnancy!
- Consider starting to think about baby names
- Your belly is growing - invest in comfortable maternity wear
- Stay active but listen to your body
