This video was taken during an early pregnancy ultrasound showing an 11-week-old baby.
What You Can See at 11 Weeks
At 11 weeks, your baby is about the size of a fig (around 4cm) and you can typically see:
- A fully formed baby shape - head, body, arms, and legs visible
- Active movement - babies are very active at this stage
- Strong heartbeat - beating at around 150-170 bpm
- Developing features - ears, nose, and fingers forming
The 11-Week Milestone
At 11 weeks, your baby has:
- All major organs in place
- Bones beginning to harden
- Tiny fingernails starting to form
- The ability to make swallowing movements
Why Early Scans Matter
An early pregnancy scan provides:
- Confirmation of pregnancy viability
- Accurate dating
- Reassurance from seeing your baby's heartbeat
- Detection of multiple pregnancies
