Scan of the Week: 11 Weeks Early Pregnancy Scan

What You Can See at 11 Weeks

At 11 weeks, your baby is about the size of a fig (around 4cm) and you can typically see:

• A fully formed baby shape - head, body, arms, and legs visible
• Active movement - babies are very active at this stage
• Strong heartbeat - beating at around 150-170 bpm
• Developing features - ears, nose, and fingers forming

The 11-Week Milestone

At 11 weeks, your baby has:

• All major organs in place
• Bones beginning to harden
• Tiny fingernails starting to form
• The ability to make swallowing movements

• Confirmation of pregnancy viability
• Accurate dating
• Reassurance from seeing your baby's heartbeat
