This scan is typically performed from 20-40 weeks and is a great opportunity to:

• Bond with your baby - see their face and movements
• Offer reassurance - confirm baby is developing well
• Track progress - as your pregnancy advances

What You'll See at 22 Weeks

At 22 weeks, your baby is about the size of a papaya and weighs around 430g. You can see:

• Detailed facial features
• Fingers and toes
• Baby practising breathing movements
• Lots of active movement - kicks, stretches, and rolls

Baby at 22 Weeks

Your baby at this stage:

• Can hear sounds from outside the womb
• Has developing taste buds
• Is covered in fine hair called lanugo
• Has fingerprints forming
